Our commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
We know how stressful applying for a job can be, so we are determined to ensure each and every candidate has a smooth, transparent and inclusive hiring process. We’d like for everyone considering a career with us to feel supported in every step of the way. We are committed to developing an inclusive culture and we believe this needs to start with our recruitment and selection processes.
We particularly welcome applications from candidates who are Black or ethnically diverse, LGBTQ+. An interview will be guaranteed to anyone who meets the minimum essential criteria for our vacancies.
We are very proud to be a member of the Disability Confident scheme certified as Level 2 Disability Confident Employer. The Equality Act 2010 defines a disabled person as someone who has a physical or mental impairment that has a substantial and long-term negative effect on their ability to do daily activities. We want to be able to successfully employ and retain people with disabilities and health conditions.
We are a neurodivergent-friendly employer. We know that neurodiverse individuals bring highly valuable skills, and we understand that a traditional interview process can sometimes present barriers which affect their ability to advocate for themselves and sell their skills and experience. These are only some examples of what support could look like:
- allowing you extra time to successfully complete practical exercises.
- doing the interview online in a quiet space of your choice.
- Change background colour of screen.
- Directions to the venue.
- Names and photos of the interviewers or assessors, with details of their role in the company and what role each will play in the interview.
- Specific time (avoiding rush hour travel)
Applicants who have a disability or health condition, are neurodiverse or have a learning disability and meet the minimum essential criteria for a vacancy will be guaranteed an interview.
